Bath Time

WOW!  I am really far behind so I am going to do my best to get caught up.  Here were a few pictures in late May of Sarah in her first "big girl bath".  We had always used the baby bathtub and decided she was getting too big so we moved her into the big tub.  She loved it!  She was splashing like crazy.

Jack's Kindergarten Graduation

Pull out the kleenex box...Mom is a basketcase on graduation days.  This was no exception.  I cannot believe my sweet little boy is on his way to first grade....don't even get me started on Abby going to third grade!  We have loved Jack's teacher and are sad to say goodbye...she was Abby's Kindie teacher also and she is wonderful!  Here's hoping she sticks around for 5 more years for Sarah.  She made all the kids special tie dye shirts that said, "First Grade, Here I Come!"

They have all grown so much this year.  They sang songs and did poems for all the parents.  They received special awards from their teacher.  Jack earned the Thomas Edison award for his imagination and his stories.  That is definitely him!  He had a great year and we can't wait to see what the future holds for him!

Belt Testing

Well, Jack is definitely taking to Taekwondo.  He has only been in the program for a month and is already belt testing to go to yellow belt.  He was over the moon excited when Master Lee (the head of the Taekwondo Center) said he was ready.  It is so great to see Jack's confidence build.  He loves every minute of it and it is a joy to watch.

7 Months Old!

Another month has blown by!  Sarah is more fun by the minute.  She has sprouted a tooth and is saying, "Mama"!  This is so exciting...Dada always comes first so I finally have a kiddo who said Mama first :)  She is rolling all over the place, sitting up by herself and trying to scoot on her tummy.  She hasn't been weighed lately but we're guessing right around 20 pounds!  She is loving every food you put in front of her including the newest foods: apples, zucchini and peas.  She love, love, loves her exersaucer and could bounce and laugh in it all day!  Here's hoping we can slow down time because this age is so fun!

Mother's Day Tea

The Mother's Day Tea is one of my favorite events that the school puts on.  They only do it in Preschool and Kindergarten so this was our last tea for 5 years.  Jack's class did a luau theme and made all the moms and grandmas leis out of egg cartons.  The kids sang several songs and recited poems.  They served us punch and treats and made us all cards.  It is such a fun afternoon and Mother's Day tea memories are some of my favorites.

Sarah says, "No tea for me, I've got a shoe!"

Spring Program

Abby and Jack held their Spring music program at school and it was a Japanese theme so the kids dressed up.  They loved it and did a beautiful job showcasing all they had learned over the year.

Taekwondo Graduation

Until now, Jack hasn't really found his hobby.  He has done t-ball and swimming and he liked it but it wasn't his "thing".  Abby's "thing" is clearly dance but Jack has still been on the hunt.  Well, I think the hunt is over!

The kids' school was doing a fundraiser where the kids could do an intro 3 week class for Taekwondo and all the proceeds went to the school.  Taekwondo is the Korean version of karate.  Jack really wanted to try it out so we signed him up.  Oh my!  He loves it and is really progressing.  He had graduation yesterday from his class and has decided to continue in the program.  We are very proud of him.  He is even learning how to speak Korean.  He earned blue character stripes each week for good behavior and because he had so many blue stripes on his belt, he earned a medal at graduation.

He had quite the audience for graduation...Dad, Mom, Abby, Sarah, Yaya, G.G. and Auntie Adie.

Ready for graduation...look at all those blue character stripes!
